[He moves away from her as well, a courtesy to her so that she may have all the distance she wanted.]

[ a laugh, and she forgets the fact that she's in his bed.

if only for a second. ]

what are they supposed to do. she remembers the super weird confession just the same as he probably. ]

[and he's just going to move really slowly towards her and try not to look threatening don't run away sif]

Indeed.

[ no she is going to stay very still. very, very, still. no threatening movements but okay, she's kind of tense. ]

[He stops when he is sitting close across from her.]

Are you nervous?

[A stupid question, and he says it before he means to, but she's tense and it's making him nervous.]

[ a wave of her hand, like it's nothing. they've done this before - or rather she had, and aided by a rather large amount of alcohol as well. gods above, no wonder they spent centuries doing nothing.

so instead she just moves into his personal space - hands on his upper thighs. they can do this. ]

[trickstering]

[Her action in spite of her words surprises him. His lips part as he watches her for a moment. Perhaps it is he who is nervous and he is just projecting.

Loki reaches over a puts a hand on her shoulder, and then leans in to kiss her.]

[ Sif brings up one of her hands to cup his cheek - meeting him halfway before kissing him back. It's much better this way, when they're both sober and she knows what she's doing.

Mostly, however, because she cannot shake the doubt that dwells in her thoughts whenever he occupies her mind. Is this honestly what she wants before ruining it all?

But his mouth is moving against her's at long last - and that is real and tangible enough for her to focus on, shoving all the rest to the side. This is what matters now. ]

[trickstering]

[Much better when they're sober, and he's not pushing her away. He too had wanted this, just not...like that. Now, however, he can savor the moment, the way she is touching him, kissing him back, the way they exist finally together, if even just for this moment.]

[glaived]

[ The not pushing her away is definitely a bonus in this entire situation. Sif's not quite she what she would have done if he had - something desperate probably. And violent, considering he would have persisted in leading her along - ammo to hang over her when she least wished it.

Eventually, of course, she has to pull away in order to breathe. ]

I would hope so.

[glaived]

[ oh please. even if she's running her fingers through his hair that's legit right. ]

[ but it's said fondly, to match his tone. ]

[ well she'll stay as long as he lets her, so there. also until she realizes how bad it's going to look for her leaving in the same clothes she fell asleep in looking horrible pleased with herself.

[yeah actually speaking of why did sif sleep in his body without a shirt on he doesn't understand.]

[he kisses her again, and moves his hand from her shoulder to her hair.]

[ it was that or naked. he should be glad for what he got. clothes are the exception to Sif's sleeping habits.

but that's nice, even if there's a second's hesitation in kissing back - the hair, really. even if she's over it, it's still a thing.

also she's sitting in some weird position where it's very uncomfortable for making out for long periods of time. so she's just going to shift slightly and pull him towards her more.]

[At her hesitation, he hesitates as well, not just in the gesture, but also in the kiss. Strange, to remember how adamant he was in assuring her that he was sorry as a child, though he had not yet done it. It was a bizarre virus, because it didn't actually seem as though he'd been swapped for the younger version of himself (no, that would have changed things, wouldn't it?) but rather that he had just become younger mentally and physically, complete with reassurances that he couldn't imagine anything working out the way Sif was describing it.

Embarrassing, really.

But then she shifts and pulls him towards her and he goes willingly. Apparently she still wished for him in spite of it.

Perhaps he ought to apologize to her someday for it, if this was the way their relationship was going to go. Perhaps....

Gods this felt nice, even though she was doing the leading and he the following. It was nice that she wanted to kiss him, and amazing that it had taken the two of them so long to get around to this.

Finally, reluctantly, after letting her continue like this for a little while, he pulls away from her. Words. They need to use words. About this, about the virus. That's important. Even though what he really wants is for them to go back to making out.]
